McGill University Health Center’s SMAART team is dedicated to the highest ethical standards in research. Each and every study undertaken by the team must be submitted to the Research Ethics Board of the MUHC.

It is the responsibility of the Research Ethics Board to apply high ethical standard to its health care research. Before any studies can be conducted the Research Ethics Board ensures that the study is safe and scientifically and ethically sound. The SMAART team upholds these guiding ethical principles.
